I would think any old police gun is a worn out police gun.

I'm just trying to figure out the price of $600 something when you can get a new one direct from Ithaca for around $450.

I like it, but it's to pricey for me. I use my dads Ithica 37 turkey slayer sometimes, it is an awesome gun. I really like the looks of the police model. No telling how old that one is.

Agreed about the price, seems really high. I checked Ithaca's SN# PDF according to it, this gun would have been mfg. in 1970
