Title: Osceola Turkey Hunt
Post by: Beard Collecter on March 13, 2014, 10:57:48 PM
Need some good referrals! If things go as planned, I will kill a Merriam this year in S.D. .That will leave the Osceola needed to finish my slam. I know the outfitters down there book early so I thought I better start now and see if I can locate a good spot. Does not have to be a 5star resort, just comfortable and have birds. Any recommendations or tips would appreciated. You can PM me if you are more comfortable with that.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!

There are several good operations in Florida , there are also many horror stories from the fly by night operations so check your references properly - typically they book, book , over book - most are very anxious to book any client for any date possible - please be cautious

Unfortunately the high price point in the industry has drawn out the vultures ,so be cautious .... Don't waist you time with anything north of Orlando , they will hotly contest this point of view , but like I said it's a point of view many in the southern peninsula hold true

Good luck , and if you need any assistance pm me and I'll be glad to give advise on what to look for - and some helpful pointers - Shannon Kelly

I would highly recommend swamp gobbler outfitters in Okeechobee Fl. I have hunted with them the last two yrs. I know there are several others from this site that have hunted with them also. They have some awesome property with a ton of Osceola's and hogs. Ben and Charley are two of best people you will meet. Give them a call 772-201-5546 or 772-216-0959
