2-Fall archery(either sex)
Edited:
In NY it's 2 bearded, but only 1 a day in the spring.
In the fall it's 1 either sex in most of the state, 2 in designated areas.

And I bird in the fall (either sex)
IL 3- spring, 2- fall. I didn't reference the digest, but I think that's correct.
4 here in Texas but that includes fall if you choose to take one.
Bama=5
Georgia=3
Tennessee: My county, and surrounding counties, 4 spring with beard. In fall hunt either sex depending on county 1 to 6. :icon_thumright: No extra tags/permits required!
Only 2 per season in FLA. Pretty bogus if you ask me. There are plenty enough turkeys here to up it to at least 3 per season. But I'm sure it is all based on money. They gotta protect that Osceola to keep people from the other 49 states, Canada and Mexico coming down here for their Slam.
Here in Pa we can take one bearded bird in the spring. You can purchase an additional tag (only one) for $24.
South Carolina:
5-Spring Season
No Fall Season
Arkansas
2 gobblers in the spring.
Fall season closed.
CA
3 bearded turkeys in the spring, 1 per day.
2 either sex in the fall, 1 per day.
Ohio is 2 bearded birds.
For Oregon's spring season the limit is one gobbler or bearded bird per day, generally 2 for the season. However, for hunters in certain management units a third "bonus" tag may be purchased.
Florida used to be 3 until about 1976 I think , then they went to 2 per season - the language is very vague , but common interpretation is 2 in the fall , 2 in the spring --
As has been said, 4 in Tennessee in spring. Each county has a different number of either sex fall limit from 1 up to 6. My county is 3 in fall and two adjoining counties are 6. I wish they would quit or limit the fall season to 1.
pa-2 per season spring
Iowa - 2 bearded birds in the spring & 2 any sex in the fall.
1 bearded bird in indiana! Wish our dnr would adopt a law so jakes weren't a legal bird! I believe mississippi is this way?
In Texas you can take four birds. I live in E. Texas and our limit is one Eastern bird.
The nearest Rio is a couple hundred miles away from me. :(
Bama....5....too many in my opinion, if I'm lucky enough I try and cut myself off at 4. But I'm rarely lucky enough for 3 and consider myself pretty lucky at 1 :fud: :OGani: :newmascot:

Virginia - 3 total: 1 per day and minus any taken in the fall.
WV - 2 one per day. 1 per day.
God Bless
Maryland 2 bearded birds in the spring
In WI basically as many tags as you want to buy (you can buy one a day) depending on the zone in the spring you could have up to 40+ tags in the spring and can fill as many as you want per day. In the fall you can buy one tag a day and season runs for 90 days so you could shoot 50+ birds. I saw a DnR report a year or so ago that one guy killed 32 birds in the fall. Most I've killed in a fall season is 8. And 6 Gobblers in the spring. Its a crazy system, now I don't take as many birds 1-2 in the fall and around 3 in the spring. The winter this year was one of the worst ever on record with over 6' of snow and many days at -30 so they are cutting some tags this spring so we'll see how this spring shakes out.
In WY it's two. One general tag and a left over tag from an unsubscibed draw area. You buy your general tag first and then after the drawing for limited licenses hunt areas you can buy a tag in any area with left over licenses.
1 in Minnesota. But Wisconni lets me buy as many turkey permits as i can afford. So until MN follows suit the WI DNR gets rich off me.
