I came across this Spalted Poplar after cleaning up the shop, and I got this wood from Mike Mims about 4 years ago..I put it to good use in this trough Call....The other one is Sycamore I got from Steve Mann a few years ago when I visited him at his shop. This call won Best in Class and 1st place at The Southeastern show.....Its amazing what you can find in your shop when you clean it up... I am very happy with the sound I am getting from these calls. I tried to put them in as many hands as I could in Nashville from Callmakers and Hunters..to get feed back..Lots of Positive response and comments which I appreciate....Everyone seemed to really like em.....Well almost everyone.. .. :funnyturkey:(http://i679.photobucket.com/albums/vv152/trb136/troughs_zpse718550c.jpg) (http://s679.photobucket.com/user/trb136/media/troughs_zpse718550c.jpg.html)

Nice looking and sounding call Tim. :icon_thumright:
Great look and sound Tim. Heck, I would be surprised if some of the people you are referencing not liking your calls even know whether they are suppose to run them on top or bottom. But I better be careful because some of them could be here watching.
Tim those trough calls you're making sound great!! The judges in Nashville were a bit tone deaf. :funnyturkey:
