Had an unbelievable hunt and trip to South Florida once again.
Hunted for a total of two hours and twenty minutes (afternoon , and the following morning ).
The unbelievable part was not that I harvested the two great toms , its just that I flew out of Houston at 7:15 am on Monday morning , and I was back at my house by Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. , and had my flight not been delayed from 12:30 p.m. , till almost 3:00 p.m. I would have been home by 3 pm. I would have to say of all the places I am fortunate enough to go every year , those dark winged birds are still my faves .

That was fun I bet. From what I'm hearing and seeing, all of my Florida hunting buddies are having great success this year... best I've seen in a while. Last year was much more difficult, for whatever reason the season this year seems to be at the perfect time. I've seen a lot of single hens on their own and a lot of hot gobblers.
