Do you find that 870 express shoot strait on average .i know every gun is a law unto it's self but I thought being an economy gun it might print high , low etc. Thanks for any answers
Mine shoots just a tad on the low side.about 4 inches at 20 yards so I put on adjustable sights and that fixed the problem.
For the most part the standard barrel lengths (23" and up)shot spot on. Now they were a little low but that was probably due to me getting too low on the stock.
Now the 21" barreled guns are their own beast. I couldn't get the two I've messed with to shoot straight without adjustable sights.
I have a 870 spst and a 870 super mag 12 gauge both would not shoot POA. I put a scope on both of them. Problem solved.
all of mine have been right on. Guess im lucky. But i run tru glo pro series adj sights on all guns.
Nothing really to do with make or model, I've had high end semi autos that were off 10 inches and a Mossberg that shot nuts, never know until you shoot them.

I have a $1500 SBE 2 that is Way off with the POA/POI . I have 1 870SM that shoots slightly High right, a 3in chamber 870 express thats dead on.
I have one that shoots perfect and one that shoots a little high @ 40. I have two extra barrels and one of those shoots left and the other shoots perfect.
I have two, one shoots dead on and the other is about 2" low @ 40.
Mine shot dead on with the 28''factory barrel I have a24'' barrel on it now and it shoots high put truglo sights on it and got it good now
