Here is one of my claro walnut 3 in. copper pots shown with my frying pan 3 1/2 in. for a size comparison.
Some people are under the impression that the 3 1/2 in. copper doesn't sound as good because of the larger surface.
But the actual playing surface of the frying pan is smaller than the 3 in. pot. It measures 2 7/8 in. across.
I believe the frying pan sounds as good or better than the 3 in. I have included a sound file of the two calls.
