Title: Shell/Load advice...870 wingmaster 3" - 30" Full Choke Barrel
Post by: sefaber35401 on February 28, 2014, 08:34:10 PM
::)  So I need some advice......no matter how hard I try, nor the patterns I show him...I just cant get my old man to change turkey guns.  He has shot a 30"wingmaster full choke for years and will NOT change.
:TrainWreck1:

With that said, what I also cant make him understand is the fact that shotshell manufacturers have changed their shells over the yrs, focusing primarily on new screw in chokes.   With ALL that said.....does anyone know a good 3" shell/load that will produce good numbers through this full choked barrel?!   Thanks in advance!

He don't need to fix it,some of the best hunting patterns I have shot, has been with my Grandfather's Remington 1100  3" Magnum with a 30" full barrel. Most any of the Federal Flight Control shells, the Winchester XX Magnums 2oz loads (red shells) and the Winchester 1-7/8oz loads (grey box) should do great in that 30" barrel.
