Just curious, what is everyone's favorite pot call-striker combo?
Twisted sister with laminated striker
Glen Marrer glass over glass zebrawood pot with my Black Locust striker.
I love my lights out slate call with a persimmon striker. I can play great turkey love music with that combo, but that pot sings good with several other strikers. My lights out anodized aluminum with a zebrawood striker is real close.
Mr Sneed Hot hen slate and a maple peg I got from west augusta
I've got a laminated slate over glass W/ a kwila one piece striker from SS that I NEVER leave the house without!!! Just got a new SS anodized aluminum w/ a diamond wood striker today that's gonna be a contender too! :icon_thumright:
Right now my favorite is my newest I picked up in Nashville. Hollaran cacklin crystal with ipe striker. I've been running it every day. A close second is my lonnie sneed hot hen slate with hickory striker.
Persimmon striker on a hot hen slate is hard to beat in my ears but a glass tom teasers with a laminate dymondwood striker is close. Two entirely different sounds but both play the tune.
Magnolia slate in an Osage pot and an Ipe Striker.
Mine is a HOOKS assassin bronzed glass with a Light's Out agate dymondwood striker.
my own becote slate ,over beaded glass with an osage peg, tipped with deer antler
Mr. Sneed's Hot Hen slate!

Cody Calls "Woodsman" Slate with Cody's Bocote wood striker. :gobble:
I have several pots that I consider to be dang good ones but the one that is most likely to be played first to a turkey this season is my Sneed Hot Hen. It is all hen with either a Dad's Persimmon, Dad's Purpleheart, or Jay Ritchie Purpleheart w/Walnut top! I also plan to run my Yingling Copper, Twisted Sister, and Lights Out Aluminum later in the morning/mid day. Everything but the Lights Out is new to me for this season so looking forward to putting them to the ultimate test.
Currently a Kimmy Hanks slate with a butternut base and maple striker.
Cody Spec 1 slate with either their bocote striker or a birch laminate Lightning Strike from Ted Peters.
I like others have several very good sounding pot calls, mostly due to having researched them on this forum. But my goto for the last 10 years has been a Magnolia Game Calls blackwalnut slate.....PURE TURKEY...
My favorite pot call is a Moye Howard Ceramic in zebra wood. A close second is a copper pot call Tim Sanford made.
My favorite call is a Prairie Game Calls, Hackberry Slate, with a Holly striker..Awesome call.
My favorite pot call is this:

It is a Heirloom Double Barrel, done by Brian Warner. Slate on one side, crystal on the other with an awesome sound chamber in the middle. Brian gave me that one in my pro-staffer's kit.
My Second Favorite is one of my own creation, from The Shamanic Signature Series:
the one in the middle is a slate over glass, and it was the first pot call I ever used to call in a gobbler all by itself.
I guarantee every shamanic call I make: no turkeys will laugh at you or your money back.
Sadler McGraw's Black Crystal
My favorite pot call is whatever is in my hand at that moment. I'll pick em up constantly n run em just to hear them. It all depends on what you're doing w them. For me slate wise it's typically Cody woodsman or Lights out, if I wanna run a nasty/raspy call Halloran's crystal mistress is fantastic, Aluminum is again Lights out but everyone's gonna tell you different n everyone likes something different.
Dawkins Aluminum
Ceramic over slate in Birdseye maple . Just got it from Pappy and boy does it scream.
Thanks Pappy. :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:
Doug camp slate with a hunters addiction diamond wood striker.
Twisted sister for me
Have a pile of pot calls. Hands down Lonnie Sneed's raspy old hen is my favorite. American Chestnut striker. American Chestnut pot with a leather cover. One of the best trades to date.
Halloran Double Glass
Shaffer's Mad Hen and Mad Hen II both sound very good.

I'm glad to hear that someone else likes his Raspy Old Hen slate call also.
Day break aluminum in a curly shedua pot with a kwila striker and my lonzo trice double glass call with a dymond wood striker seem to get the most done.
Brian Mero ceramic or Hook's bronzed glass are my #1 and #2 calls.
As of now it's a slate call made by Gobblin Tom Game calls
Bill Baubilt copper pot .Killed many a bird with it.Love it on a damp morning. Kevin
My favorite depends on which is the last call I purchased. Right now it's a Tim Sanford Slate over Copper with burl cherry. Before that Tim's Copper over glass with Brazilian Rosewood. Have a Crystal over Copper with Claro Walnut Tim made for me. I'm still getting used to running the Crystal. But it struck a bird on hard hunted WMA in late season when none other would.
Cane Creek Calls New Reaper glass with bloodwood striker.
:OGani: :newmascot: An Enticer Silver Fox aluminum with the laminated striker that came with it. :OGturkeyhead:
A Pappy's Titanium, that he was gracious enough to let me assist in making. I've paired it with a Woodhaven flared tip striker. I called in 2 birds for a double with a buddy less than 24hrs from being made. The glue wasn't even dry yet!!! It's called in a bunch over the last few years.
