Title: Camo BPS front bead removal?
Post by: 2eagles on February 22, 2014, 10:43:50 AM
I have camo BPS that I don't shoot much since I bought my Browning Silver.  I want to make the BPS a turkey gun, but am not going to carried away.  I don't want to put a scope on this gun, but I do want to upgrade over just the front bead.  I see a lot of you like the PRO•SERIES MAGNUM GOBBLE•DOT, but I'm not sure about removing the front bead.  I've heard that bead can be a dickens to remove.  From the pictures I see maybe the bead can stay put.?  It also looks like you would lift your head off the stock because the sights are higher.?  Because it's simpler and lower profile I'm wondering about the MAGNUM GOBBLE•DOT™XTREME.  Input from the pros would be nice.......   Thanks!

You should be able to leave the bead and mount the front sight behind it. It shouldn't raise you're cheek weld too much, you should be able to compensate.
