Title: ssx?
Post by: jordanz7935 on February 18, 2014, 07:51:33 PM
I've got a 21" 870 and i am currently shooting  Fed HW 7s through a lead only RSF. Im getting low 130s in the 10" @ 40. For those that have tried the chokes do you think my patterns will improve with an ssx? I know, if it aint broke don't fix it but i've had my eye on this choke for a while.Thoughts?

Wouldn't hurt to give it a try if you can find one.  I used mine with my 11-87  and was in the 130's but you never know it could be way better or worse with your barrel.

My patterns were unbelievable with the ssx and FHW 7's. See link below

I have an 870 and am trying exactly the same two chokes with the same shell....just can't do it til it warms up.  Be glad to tell you how it works out.
