Usually the ground. Hard to use a chair on the side of a mountain.
gonna try the hs strut seat that goes around waist and filled with air this year gonna try no vest or a bucklick vest not sure yet
I tried several of the chairs and "better" seats that came out, but they were always too bulky, aggravating, or cheaply made for me to get much use out of.
I keep going back to my old standard that has worked well for years.
My wife get's a lot of those canvas bags, or totes or whatever you call em, at the seminars and conferences she goes to. I just stuff a pillow in one and sew it shut.
Tough, easy to carry, and as comfortable as anything I've tried.
My butt. In a lounger
I prefer to just sit on the ground, no chair, no cushion. Only problem is if the ground is wet. I bought a piece of camo cordura waterproof cloth and cut a piece 24x24. If the ground is wet, I pull it out and sit on top of it. It folds up and fits in a vest pocket.
Gobbler lounger. I hate packing it around, but after a long sit, it's definitely worth it.
I just use the vest seat, but if i go where I think I may not have a decent tree to lean against, I'll tote the Gobbler lounger.
I love my hs strut seat.

Gobbler lounger but will check this out def need a spare.
I use my vest cushion and my lounger. Used to sit on ground with nothing, but got tired of gettin wet and havin a sore rear
I use a strut seat. They aren't the most comfortable, but they are easy to carry and at least get you off the ground. I can't stand sitting on the ground, especially if it's wet at all.
This seat is really portable, just snaps on your belt. It is the most comfortable seat I've tried as well. Light. It spins too, which is great when your shot is coming from a different direction then anticipated. You can quickly adjust the height to 4 configurations in seconds. Always puzzles me why it isn't more widely used. This fella invented it for Turkey hunting AFTER suffering with a sore behind.

Vest cushion.
Although I am thinking about getting a lounger this year.
A flat foam pad covered with tiger striped camo. Had it about 20 years. Chairs just don't work very good in WV.
:OGturkeyhead: :OGturkeyhead:
my butt. on my limb hanger vest pad
I use the ALPS Turkey Chair.

HuntPac from Cornell Hunting Products. That is it in my avatar. Warning!!! Will cause snoring to gradually increase in frequency and decibels!
Gobbler Lounger.
I still sit on the ground some(getting harder to do as I get older)
also a gobbler lounger sometimes and I use a chair blind some.
I use a little folding stool. It keeps my rear about 6 inches off the ground. Nice when the ground is wet.
my butt, since I mostly use the run and gun method.
The cushion seat on my Super Elite III is very thick and comfy, so I just sit on that.
If I'm not wearing my vest, I carry a Hunt Comfort Fatboy. The Fatboy cushion is extremely comfortable.
When I carry a chair it's a Gobbler Lounger, if not a chair the cushion on my vest. GL is much more comfortable though.

I made a seat cushion 20+ years ago using camo material over a wheel barrow inner tube with sewn on belt loops. At the beginning of each year, I put a little air in it and go all season. This old butt of mine can sit for hours comfortably.
Just the seat on my vest....

Sounds good if your hemorrhoids are flaring up. You got a patten on that yet. If not I think your on to something. Call primos. Next year they'll be promoting the new turkey vest featuring the new donut seat.

I do ALOT of running and gunning and find the HS Strut seat to be the best combo of comfort, ease of use, quick to set up,uncumbersome and lightweight. It's the best I have found for the way I hunt.
Vest cushion.

I use the seat cushion on the vest but also add a nylon strap and quick snap for a second cushion. Sometimes I'll put both under me or leave the vest cushion up for my back. Have used this set up on my last two vests and it is pretty darn comfortable.

Cabela's Gobbler Lounger!! :icon_thumright: :z-winnersmiley:
I also have an innertube seat that I use for sneaking in near the roost.

Same with my Gobbler Lounger!!! ;D :TooFunny:
Either my butt or a cushion. Chairs want sit on these hills and cushions can be like riding a sled sometimes so I just have to sit on my butt sometimes and dig my heels in to keep from sliding off.
I use the cushion on my Super Elite III vest. Keeps me dry, easy to carry, and always available.
Broke down and got a couple of the walmart turkey loungers today for me and my hunting buddy.
I sit on the ground, sometimes carry a $3 cushion especially if the ground is wet

Cabelas Tactical TaterII
I sit on the ground or a garbage bag if the ground is wet.
