Title: 835 and ic choke?
Post by: knightrider on February 08, 2014, 08:49:48 PM
just screwed an indian creek 675 choke into my Mossberg is it normal to have a little gap between the end of barrel and the choke, looks like it should turn a couple more times but I got it tight as it will go :funnyturkey:

Normal on most all chokes, better to be 2 turns long than 2 turns short

I have a friend that has the same thing going on with his 535. Everything looks good from the inside so I believe that it should be just fine.

As long as the choke is bottomed on the ID shoulder of the barrel you are good.  I have had to modify the threads and shoulder on a couple of chokes to get this to happen.

That's the way Indian Creek chokes fit in my Browning Gold and my sons Beretta.
