I just picked up a new Mossberg SA 20 and need to find a choke for it. I'm thinking I need a .570"+ maybe. Do you guys that shoot TSS use a ported or non ported choke? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

IM GLAD U POSTED I JUST ORDERED ONE , AND IM GOING TO NEED THE SAME INPUT :icon_thumright:
Which TSS load you going with? Choke choice depends on the load and what kind of pattern you looking for. For the 1 5/8oz load of TSS 9's I would see about an IC .562. or an IC .555 if you want it crazy tight. If you are looking for a more opening hunting pattern, then any cheap .570-.585 choke should do the trick.
I'm gonna be shooting the 1 5/8 oz load. I'd like a 250/250 balanced hunting pattern but could live with a 300/200. I'm thinking about a Carlson's .575 non ported and an IC .568 to start with.
Should be good to go!
From all the choke testing I've done with Indian Creek, a .570 gives the closest 250/250 pattern. The .568 is going to be around 275/240. My 870 with the IC .562 shoots 300/230. That should give you something to start with. If you really want a shooter, the .555 does 370/200. You might want a red dot or scope for that one. Hope this helps. Good luck!
