Title: Jewel county?
Post by: Colt45 on January 06, 2014, 11:50:01 AM
Planning on going to this county in Kansas this spring, and was wondering if there are very many rio's in this county. Planning on camping at a public property nearby. Not wanting any spots, just looking to get some info on populations and whether or not it would be worth the drive out there. Thanks!

Any county in North Central Kansas will have Rios. I've shot a couple in Jewell county.

You  might see some hybrid easterns/rios too.  This area is primarily Rio's though.

Thank you all for your responses, does anyone know if there are decent numbers there to hunt? I have never been out there, but have been told there are some near the public property around lovewell.  :fud:

I think they've had some rough hatches, but it should still be decent, I'm guessing.  I'm going out there next May anyway.  :)
