Title: Serious Storm
Post by: allaboutshooting on October 31, 2013, 08:46:09 PM
We are in the middle of some serious storms. I just went out to secure some things and tripped over a limb.

My instincts were like most of us and and I put out right arm to stop my fall...a mistake! At best I've sprained it and at worst broken something.

Doris put an ice pack on my wrist, so we'll see what happens.

We're under a tornado watch and I can hear the thunder, so we'll see what the night has in store for us.

Thanks,
Clark

A few limbs, etc. down here but nothing major, just leaves everywhere.

I spent most of the day in the doctor's office and imaging department at the hospital. Good news and bad news with my wrist. I have a bone chipped, that's the latest interpretation of the x-rays, and will need to keep my wrist immobile for the next 6 weeks. Not good. I have a lot to do around here for the fall and by being unable to do much this summer, that's even more than usual but I'll take what I get and be grateful that it's not worse.

The pain is pretty tough right now when I move my fingers or wrist but if I don't do anything it's not too bad. Ibuprofen and the brace will be my friend for a few weeks.

Thanks,
Clark

We had the same storm system here in Ohio. An EF1 tornado touched down within a mile of my house. We were lucky, had a huge limb come down on the back patio but no damage. I was out all day and evening Friday restoring power. Things were pretty hairy at 1 am Friday morning, tornado sirens blaring woke my son and my wife and I. My daughter slept right through it.

Thank you. It's now a matter of time and "obeying the rules" for the next several weeks.

Thanks,
Clark
