Post by: Limbstrutter on August 05, 2013, 11:25:37 PM
Just picked one up . This thing is light as a feather and fast as lighting . I got the MXB 320 . I have a few Xbows and I have to say this is my new favorite.

I've always owned a compound bow but after shoulder surgery and a few screws the old shoulders don't quite work like they use to. And these crossbows are so accurate its scarry. I just picked up a Parker Tornado F4 and I tell you that thing is as accurate as any of em. These things are very fun.

I'm wanting to pick up a crossbow to play around with, and was wondering your guy's opinions on which one to buy.  I've narrowed it down to the mission 320 and the excalibur ibex.  I've not shot the mission, but I liked the excalibur, but man are they ever wide and loud.  Are they all that loud?  And does the width bother anyone?  I like the fact they're about as simple as crossbows come, but I am a matthew's man with vertical bows, and thought the mission would suit me in that regard, but the excaliburs are also known for top notch customer service, etc.  And the excalibur is about $150 cheaper!  Any advice??

Limbstrutter nice xbow 1 :icon_thumright:
Wvcurlytop,I've had two Excals and can say nothing bad about them. Their simplicity is what sold me. I can decock and change strings easily myself. Can't do that with a compound model. They are pretty much bulletproof.
Look into the new Matrix, I just purchased one. 6" narrower and 4" shorter than previous models.

I've been hunting with the same Excalibur Crossbow for 15 years now and it was used when I got it! Never had a minutes trouble with it and have killed a couple of "truckloads" of deer and turkey with it. I'm sure the Matthews is a great xbow but I know you will like an Excal!

What's nice about this Mission crossbow is you can now change the strings and cables sitting on your couch. This crossbow will change crossbows . You don't even need a bow press for that matter you can change it in the field all you need is the allen wrench.

Here is how easy it is to change the strings on a Mission.IT is the only crossbow you can do this with.

Here's the video.   Awesome.

What sold me on this Xbow was it has an adjustable stock and  adjustable limb weight fro 100 lbs to 125 to 150 and 180 lbs and at only 6.5 lbs and its very narrow which makes it nice for treestand hunting.
