Post by: WillowRidgeCalls on July 24, 2013, 06:23:14 PM
Been making some sawdust in the shop this week, hewning out a few Turpins and making paddles for them.
First batch are--curly maple over curly maple, canary over maple, blackwood over maple, canary over maple, hickory over maple, pecan over maple.
Next are--kawila over cherry, hickory over cherry, cedar over poplar, cherry over poplar, hickory over cedar, purpleheart over cedar.
Last batch are mini turpins-- limba over cedar, cedar over cedar, osage over purpleeart, hickory over maple, tamerrind over pecan.
Now the fun begins with tuning and finishing  :D.

Nice! The tuning is my favorite part, knowing they are almost ready to hunt.

The dust really flew here this month as well. 112 shortboxes now ready to tune.  :happy0064:
