Title: Wingbone headed to GA
Post by: alloutdoors on July 18, 2013, 09:07:50 PM
This one is headed to another member here from GA. The bones and feathers are from his daughters first turkey which she shot this past spring.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I have to say, with my first few wingbones going together without any real issues, this one had me banging my head against the wall for a while. I must have put on (and sanded off) the "final coat" of finish eight or nine times. Each time I would get it looking good, but then when I came back to it in the morning it would have fish-eyed in spots giving me an uneven finish. :z-dizzy: I think the crazy high humidity we've been having here in the northeast had something to do with it because as soon as it finally broke for a couple days my finish started to behave itself again.
