Tragic news in Arizona. Prayers from everyone out there have friends fighting this fire. Don't have to much detail I do know the wind shifted severely.
Sad news. Prayers sent for their families and to all who are still involved in putting it out.
Just seen the news. Terrible thing. Prayers for sure.
It was the Granite Mountain Hotshots. 18 dead, 1 survivor. I had friends that were on the Prescott Hotshots a few years ago so I am betting they knew some of these folks. Saying a prayer tonight for their friends and families. I have fought fire in AZ and it can go south in a hurry, especially the fuel model they were in.
more tragic news it is now 19 dead 18 from Granite Mountain Hotshots out of Prescott and one other from a different crew. All 19 crew members deployed their fire shelter tents.

If you have ever used a fire shelter it isn't much. We don't call them shake and bakes for nothing. Early indications have a thunderstorm cell forming and causing erratic fire behavior.
