I started running trail cams for deer season and checked my cameras this week. I was honestly more excited to see pics of hens with poults and pics of jakes that will be gobblers this spring than the deer pics that i got. Crazy how that works.
Trail camming is awesome, I am still getting some pics of nice gobblers but haven't seen any poults yet. Scoot
trail cams are addicting
post those pics. i finally got all my trail camera's out this past week for elk here in Arizona. you never know what you will get a pic of. iv'e had bear, mountain lion picture of a hour old elk calf, the funniest one was of a coyote taking a dump in front of the camera.
Went to check my trail cams today and saw 3 gobblers in a field as i was coming through the trees. I stopped and yelped and got one to gobble 3 times. It was awesome!
Just got my pics off mine tonight (will have to make some time at work tomorrow to look at them). It's addicting.
A few pic of the jakes and the hen with poults.
Trail cams are good for hunting people (thieves and vandals) too. Just got a call from the Sheriff thanking me for religiously putting out trail cams every night since February. They were able to tie the fellow to other crimes since he wore the same facemask and gloves. I was using the same trail cams that I use for deer and turkey hunting. The audio on the trail cams is a nice addition to the newer cams.
