Like seeing these jakes for next spring.  :)

Hate seeing these hens without poults.  :(

Oh yeah, the big red oak in the background came down during the latest derecho storm. It was the only red oak in that little patch of woods that was visible from my back porch. Hated to lose it as we would see deer so often feeding under it. Yes, that is a whiteoak you see just  over the rootball of the red oak but it bears few if any acorns for whatever reason.

Great pic.  Thanks for sharing and sorry for the lost Oak.  Wish I'd have read your post and learned how to spell derecho before I posted about the one we went through in another thread!  Hope you didn't have as much damage as we did that day.  About 42K worth for me.

Sorry you had so much damage.
That tree was our major loss along with no power for 3 days
