Title: Spring Creek Mike...Above and beyond!
Post by: sixbird on June 21, 2013, 11:46:14 AM
So...I bought a few scratch calls (and a couple of boxes) from Mike at Spring Creek Turkey Calls. He was timely in getting them done and accommodating of all my questions. He sent me sound files to see if I liked the tone...
Now...I get the calls in the mail. I'm pretty excited but ready for the possibility of disappointment...I open the box...Beautiful! Great workmanship. Nice clean work...O.k. so far so good...
Next is playing the calls...Hmmm, I'm going to need practice. I try and try...Not getting the sound I want. The thought crosses my mind that they'll go on the shelf with my calls that didn't work out... :^(
So...I call Mike and ask if he could call me back and help me out a little...
The next thing, this morning, I open my email and here is my own personalized video tutorial courtesy Spring Creek Mike! WHAT???!!! Never had that happen before!
He gives me concise, easy to follow instruction on the operation and POW, I'm an expert in a few minutes!
This guy is the real deal! He makes a great product and customer service...Well, it doesn't get better!
So here is what he sent: http://s794.photobucket.com/user/moses25roman/media/20130621_073304_zpse48625ed.mp4.html
So props to Mike for his excellent calls (BTW, his box calls are more than sweet also) and his stellar customer service.
If you're looking for great calls at a reasonable price and, as I said, stellar customer service give Mike a call...You won't be disappointed!   :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

Mike is a first class guy and call maker, he stands behind each call he makes 100%. I have several of his calls and use them each year with great success.

Yessir, I agree. Mike is a straight up guy and makes an excellent call. He doesn't know it yet but I'll have a scratch box and a few strikers from him before next season. I also just realized watching the video something I was not aware of about Mike...he's a "mature" guy like me :TooFunny: ;D

Thanks guys for the kind words. Glenn did something we should all do and that's contact your call maker if you're having trouble figuring out a certain call. Anyone selling calls here will help to the best of their ability.

Right about that! I got three scratch boxes. One for me and two others as gifts...Mine will be with me in the fall...The long box he made was for me also...That WILL be with me every day I go out...No question...All of them sound great!

I have 26 or 27 that I can think of off the top of my head... :help:
You have too many when you're in the woods and a turkey won't respond to anything you're giving him and suddenly you remember that you have such and such call buried in your vest...I think I need one of those therapy sessions where you confess "I'm a turkey hunter and I have a problem..."
It's bad when you know you have too many calls but you really like the sound of one so you buy it for one of your buddies... :-[
