Title: Turkey Reload Recipes
Post by: Tkrysl on June 20, 2013, 11:24:00 AM
Hey all.

Does anyone have a turkey reload recipe book they would recommend?  BPI doesn't have a "turkey book" per say, but I didn't know if the advantages manual had a lot of varieties.  I am a 3 1/2" guy.  Looking to reload 2 1/4" oz.

I am also curious if anyone has found data to reload empty hevi-shot hulls with lead.  I am cheap.  My buddy gives me his empty hevi hulls and I'd love to be able to use them.....

Try "Lyman Reloading Handbook".  You may not find 2 1/4 turkey loads, but there is some good data to go off of.
Concerning re-using spent hulls, I always use new, primed hulls to be on the safe side.

The advantages manual has some good loads, and I'm almost positive the bronze Hevi hull is a fiochi so any data for that hull will work

BPI's website has some published load data. There is several on there. Look for the load of the week page and search the archived loads.
