Just thought I'd get that off my chest.
Hahaha I hear ya, cant wait for next season.
It can't come soon enough. My friend came in from school this week,we went fishing and coyote hunting and I still can't stop playing with my turkey calls.
Done sent my gun to be dipped and I want it back like a week ago.
Me tooooooooooooooo
heard gobbles yesterday ,lots.
im broken hearted
I just pass the time by knowing that the fall season is right around the corner. Its not the same as spring but whatever chance I have to hunt them birds, I am doing so.......

Only 320 days till opening day. :character0029:
I hear you. I am already planning for next year. It's getting bad for me when the last few years in my treestand I was thinking about spring gobbler hunting!

I got a text from a friend who is an avid turkey hunter and Federal Judge: " I am in a deep turkey hunting depression, first weekend after our season closed...I spent all Sunday morning organizing my sock drawer".
I replied: " I have been in a trance staring at the walls for several hours...my wife made some flash cards of photos of whitetail bucks and compound bows and has been showing me...I think it's helping. By evening I think I may be able to hold my bow in my hands".
Glad I'm not alone lol! We've got a support group here!
I miss turkey hunting too. I'm back at my other favorite outdoor pursuit, flyfishing for trout. It's less than six months till the fall season and then at the end of the fall season it's only five months till spring gobbler. But who is counting? I am!
You aren't alone, it will be a looonggg wait untill next year
Same here guys!
I'm still in denial
Oh yea !
I almost cried on the last day. :'(But I held it in. It was hard but I did.
I was on my back porch a two Saturdays ago in the early morning with the dog and I heard a bird gobble 6 times over on the 100 acres I have permission to hunt. It took all I had not to grab my camo and gun. He couldn't have been more than 200-300 yards away.
Although it was kind of a last respectful gobble, letting me know he's still the king and I'll eat another year chasing him as long as the landowner doesn't sell or develop.
Hi, my name is Jim and I am a turkeyholic.
Yep, I miss it bad. I was walking the farm this past weekend...just because I needed to. Walked up on 5 longbeards loafing in a lower field :toothy9: Feeling good about 2014.
It seems to bother me more and more each year. I finished my last hunt and have been lost in a sense of not knowing what to do now. And of course this morn I sat and watched a gobbler out strutting with a hen gobbling his head off. Nothing like teasing a guy....
