Title: Rikon belt sander

I was thinking about buying a 6x48.Are they any good.

Rikon products are as good as any out there. my rikon midi lathe is a blessing in disguise, plenty of power and as dependable as any other. I would buy any prodcut made by Rikon.

I haven't heard anything but good about Rikon tools.  If I were in the market for a belt sander, I would sure consider them.

I bought a Grizzly 6x48 sander about 7 years ago.  I've put a lot of miles on it since then.  It has done what I need it to, but I would definitely look at other brands if I have to replace it some day.

evidently the jet was on sale too......so the name brand won out.

I couldn't keep the belts from running off. The fork in the tracking adjustment looked to be bent. They agreed to take it back and I bought the Jet at 15 percent off.
