Title: Quiet out here this morning
Post by: turkeyfeathers on May 30, 2013, 06:37:14 AM
Birds are tight lipped again! No gobbles on roost.... nothing    65, partly cloudy with light winds. Windmills aren't even turning. Nice wood thrush serenading me now. Deer in field. C'mon birds!! Only today and tomorrow to get my second bird.

Stick it out. Take a nap. Hens are nesting so things are slowing down. I shot a nice tom on May 30th in northern Mi. a few years ago. This time of year you need to hunt all day.

I intend to stick it out. I just fired up the crows , thought maybe Tom would sound off at that. Nope, lol

Good luck. I love it when the crows do the locating.

Watching two bucks thru the binocs at about 150 yards out. Nice big bodied guys with thick starting of horns in velvet.

Another quiet morning so far. Downy woodpecker keeping me company right now. Grey squirrel just had my hopes up as i heard something moving in the leaves. Hope Tom gets a little vocal at some point.
