I have a Remmy 870 20 ga. with a 26" pipe. I am tired of trying to find the Fed. Hvys in the #7s and was wondering what kind of chokes to try with this load and what I can expect from these shells compared to the Federals. I currently have a Primos Tightwad .570, Carlson's .575, Sumtoy 562-5, Rhino .575, and a Kicks .560.
Great question looking forward to what others have to say.
I'm shootin a Suntoy 562-5 in Benelli M-1. The hev 13 #7's out shot the fed hw#7's everytime, I had 200 hits in the 10 at 40yds.
I was wondering how the 562-5 done with the Hevi #7s because I thought it was designed for the Fed. Hvy. #7s. Sounds like I might run some Hevi-Shot through it.
Sumtoy defiantly seems to do best with FED HW #7.... HEVI 13, #7 seems to work best with Indian Creek.
Care to post pics of hevi 7's I am shooting 562-5 also? Was there a big change between the two shells?
I have shot them through my IC .555 with good results with a 26" barrel 11-87.
Believe it or not I had the best numbers from a Hevi choke in my 1187 20ga and 26" barrel. I had high 150's with a good even pattern.
I believe there is a pic on the patterning thread if you wanted to look it up...
I was speaking to the owner of a very reputable choke tube company and he told me the hevi 13 was a lot better shell. He said he got better results from hevi 13 everytime.

Indian Creek .555 and your search will be over. I have seen a few of these with this combo/barrel length go over 200 in the 10".

Thanks gophert. I might just try the IC. It is a good excuse to by another choke. ;)
