Title: Thinking of next year...recommendations for the South or Southeast US?
Post by: Tail Feathers on May 14, 2013, 09:09:38 PM
Already thinking of next year.  Looking for recommendations for turkey hunting, private and/or public, in Alabama, Georgia or Mississippi.  We would also consider Missouri.
Looking for two or three bird limit (I know Bama says 5 but that's not very realistic for a traveling hunter).  We're all working men so reasonable rates would be a requirement.
What can you recommend for a group of four, with one being pretty limited on mobility?

Piedmont NWR in Georgia....lots of birds and easy to get around on.  You can drive to lots of places.

It is a draw hunt...they have a campground with hot showers.  Very low cost hunt with a better than average chance at some birds.

Best of luck to you!!
