Title: Weekend with disabled vets.
Post by: Usahuntingear on May 10, 2013, 03:56:17 AM
its that time of the year again, each year this hunting preserve puts on a weekend of activities to honor disabled vets, they have 2 big auctions to raise money to buy such things as wheel chairs for the guys to hunt in and alot more. each year we donate a ton of hunting gear and my wife makes a hand made quilt to donate to the auction, the quilt usually auctions for 500 dollars. Just wanted to share this years quilt to you hunters. Took my wife 6 months, its all made up of small sewn together pieces. the quilt this year is, Tribute to America. Just thought I would share this beauty.I scroll sawed a plaque also to donate that I designed. The preserve usually lodges around 7 disabled vets at a time through out the year for spring gobbler, bear season, ect.
