I wasn't able to tag a Tom but it was still a good day. Worked a bird for about a half an hour early just to have him come in behind me. When I turned he busted me.
Moved to another area and did some calling. Nothing, stayed for about a half hour then decided to move on. I stood up and bam, a small jake right behind me, it was even too small for me so I didn't mind getting busted by him. Was going to go back to my original setup for the last couple hours. Got close and rounded the bend and all I saw was a white head and heard his alarm putts, Dang.
O well, weeks 3 and 4 are usually pretty good to me so wish me luck. I'm not off again till Friday. Hoping it don't rain.
