I have never shot nor held either one of these. Was wondering what the pros and cons of each are and how they were as far as reliability goes and how they pattern? I have always heard that the Mossberg pumps pattern well and was wondering how the autos do and do they have many problems.
935 all the way. It's got the same barrel as the 835 pump guns that everybody talks so much about. I have a 935 setup with a red dot and it puts out some excellent patterns. Check out my post over in the patterning section titled: 935+SSX=Happiness.
I have had my 935 for 3 years and like it more than the day I bought it. You can't beat the pattern. I hear great things about the 930 as well.
Do yall know if either of these guns is drilled and tapped for a base? I couldnt find it on their website anywhere.

I'd take the 935 with at least a 26" barrel for the ease of getting it to pattern. You can use the drilled and tapped receiver or get a rib rider mount from Aimtech to put it on the barrel.
I have the 930 Turkey and it throws a very nice pattern with the IC BDS and Hevi-13 3" #7 and Thugs in 3" #6. It is drilled and tapped for optics. The fit and finish is excellent and it's just a well made turkey killing machine. As for which one is better between the 930 and 935, well that is debatable. The biggest difference is the 930 is not chambered to handle the 3.5" shells and the 935 is. So, if you have any inclination that you may want to shoot the 3.5" shells, then you have to go with the 935. You also have the choice of a 22" barrel with the 935 that I don't think is available for the 930. I chose the 930 over the 935 mainly because my shoulder after becoming paralyzed just can't handle the 3.5" thumpers as well as it was significantly cheaper than the 935. I'm very happy with the 930 but if I could handle the 3.5" shells, I would have spent the extra money and went with a 935.
Thanks. I dont ever really shoot 3 1/2" shells either that much. I just thought the 2 had different barrell bore diameters and were different in that aspect. How is the recoil on your gun compared to other gas operated semi-autos running 3" turkey loads?
Yeah, the 935 is overbored and the 930 is not so that is another difference. The only other semi that I have shot with 3" turkey loads is an 11-87 SP. If I shot them back to back I don't think I could tell a bit of difference as far as recoil goes. I put a Limbsaver on my 930 and it helped quite a bit.
For me it was a no-brainer. I've got an 835 also and all my chokes from it will fit the 935, plus it gives me the option of 3.5 inch shells.

I'd pick the 935. It more than likely will shoot the better patterns since it has the .775 overbored barrel on it just like the 835. I have a Moss 835. I can tell you that it has been and probably always will be the best shooting shotgun I currently have or ever will own. I had a Browning Gold 3.5" semi that I bought specifically for turkey hunting. I bought the Moss 835 later on. I ended up keeping the Moss 835 and sold the Browning Gold. The Moss 835 was a better patterning shotgun simply put.
