Title: Pistol grip stock for a 11/87 question.
Post by: rtsj on April 29, 2013, 09:18:24 PM
Thinking about getting a pistol grip stock for my 11/87 and can't decide between the Sureshot, ATI, or the Chaote stocks.  Just curious what you guys have used and tell me what you like or disliked about your stock.  Thanks for any input.

I bought the 1187 pistol grip ATI stock but converted it to my SP10 - I will say this the ATI is one solidly built item , its  some kind of glass resin reinforced plastic , its some tough stuff - the recoil pad is a stiff horrible brick with zero cushion - chopped down the LOP and installed a R3 pad , stippled it with a soldering iron , painted it , and am very happy with it now -
this is a picture of the gun , one on the top --

I have a ATI folding model  for my home Mossberg pump , and again a good sturdy item

I have the shurshot and my wife has the ATI Talon. Both are great stocks. If I had to choose between the 2, I'd prolly flip a coin. If the comb height were just a little higher on the ATI I'd prolly choose it, but it's not.
