Title: Snake boots- what do you like?
Post by: FL-Boss on April 23, 2013, 05:41:15 PM
looking for a new pair...my Rocky's got a small rip in them.  Here's the catch.. I want the ones that lace up.. and have the zipper on the side.  I found these red heads that seem perfect.. but the review are horrible.

Those Redhead ones are terrible. Stay away from them.

I like the looks of the new Cabelas brand with the boa lace system...reviews are good on them as well.

Best of luck!

Not "officially" snakeproof; arguably coldest boot ever produces on our few cool AL mornings and they probably won't stay 'waterproof' for very long (although Russell's generally dont either) ... all that being said, I recently went back to 17" LL Bean's and it should take a pretty big snake to get through the leather

they are reasonably comfortable and light and do decent in water when i remember to snoseal them

I bought a pair of LaCrosse Alpha Mudlite snake boots for hunting in GA this year. They were just as comfortable as my regular LaCrosse boots, I had them on for the better part of five days and they were great. They may have been slightly warmer than my plain Alpha's but not much.
