I forgot my targets at my camp, so no pics for a day or two. I'm shooting an 870 Youth, 21" barrel, with SSX choke and 3" Federal HVY #7's . I polished my barrel and put a new truglo fiber optic sight on Friday and hit the range today. Weather was a sunny 51deg, with very light to no wind.
1st shot at 30 yards was dead on.
261 in 10"
2nd shot was at 40
140 in 10"
3rd shot was at 40
124 in 10"
How's that sound. Patterns look very nice and even IMHO.

124 and 140 @ 40 yards is perfect for the Fed 7s IMO. :z-winnersmiley:
I shot the same setup last week and was in the 140's. Not the biggest numbers but were nice even and round patterns.
Yeah man that right on par. That's killer set up.
Those are good numbers. Will you clean your gun now before you hunt? The reason I ask is because last week I shot the same setup and my numbers improved with every shot. I'm going to shoot it again this Friday to verify but will probably be shooting a dirty barrel.
i swabbed mine between the 2nd and 3rd shot after polishing and numbers went down from 140 to 124. gonna shoot again this week to see what happens with it slightly dirtier and make a decision then.
