I stopped off at the range today with the 870 20ga and a box of hevi-13 7's and federal heavyweight 7's along with the Haymaker and Remington super full hevi approved .570 and the Remington super full lead only .572
Well i set up at 30 yards, i always do this. Long story short, the RSF chokes beat the daylights outta the haymaker with both shell types. The haymaker did toss a nice even pattern but the pellet count was not there. I spoke with the good folks at Indian Creek today shortly after and we spoke about the results, I was informed that we CANNOT SWAP HAWMAKERS!!! This is due to the fact that D&D owns the name and IC just makes them.
I wont be buying anything wlse from IC or D&D until they decide they will swap chokes.
I'll be shooting the Haymaker in my 870 youth tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping to find a winner here...
I'll post my results tomorrow evening.
