Post by: Balla1982 on March 27, 2013, 10:52:05 PM
When walking to the truck with my son this morning, like we do every morning, we hear the first gobbles for our area and man talk about getting pumped.
It was about 35 degrees and calm. Heard at least 4 dif birds around the house.

I'm in south central ky (Logan Co) and got up and listened 2 weekends ago. I heard 3 different groups hammering, probably 20 birds. They were still in their winter groups then, they should start dispersing soon.

I was up in Hopkins Co. April 21-24th....heard lots of gobbling on the roost first thing..but as soon as they hit the ground it didn't take long for them to get henned up....I did manage to call in and take a good bird with an 11" beard while I was there....
