I've got a Rem 1100 youth lt-20 with 2 3/4" chamber that is so nice to shoot. I've also got a Tru lock .580 choke I use for squirrels.
Can someone recommend me a 20 ga 2 3/4" she'll to use for turkey? I realize ill probably have to limit shots at 25-30 yards max but that's where they all seem to happen anyway.
You could try the 2 3/4 Federal Heavyweight load in 7's, is your choke tube ported?
I think Winchester still makes a 2-3/4" Magnum 1-1/8oz #7-1/2 load
I have some of these and they are bad out to 35 yds
There is also the H-13 HS #6 or #7.
Out of the 580 I would try the Fed HW #7s. This can be a very nice pattern and bad news for Tom.
i hunt with the same set up and shoot a ssx choke .550
and winchester 1 1/8 oz, #6
federal 1 1/8 oz, #6
both are only 2 3/4in shells
both have total killd 10 out of 11 birds out to 35yd,one that i missd
was close to 40 plus
my gun also has a 28in barrell.
It is not a ported choke, I'll have to see if I can find thoes 7.5's
Any body have experience with federal prarie storm loads?

I personally have not,but I have always shot Federal ammo in my guns and have heard good things about the prarie storm shells
