I've shot about 30-40 rounds thru my .680 and never had a problem.  Car manufactures recommend you go the speed limit but the car can go much faster then that....... IMO sometimes it a sugestion to cover their butts.

But they will recommend Win. XRHD...don't see much difference between that and hevi shot.

Im on the fence with my mossberg 835 project.  Im leaning towards the .675 because I dont want the pattern to be 4" wide at 20 yards.  Ive noticed most mossy 835 gunners are using the PG .670 with the HW #7.  How tight is the pattern at 20 with the 670?  Forgive me if I overlooked a previous post.

Have you shot Hevi thru a Kicks .675,  JD??  If so, how did it pattern them??

My Kicks is a .660 in a Remington and I have shot 50+ rounds of the Old White hevi, Rem Hevi, Nitros, Win Xtended Range, and Hevi 13 through it.  It's like anything else, very good patterns with what it likes and no problems at all with any hevishot.

Britton, any turkey choke will be super tight at 20yds, from the 835 it would be hard to tell the difference from a .695" and a .670" at 20yds, it's gonna be tight either way.

Here's my 835 with a StarDot .676 at 20yds, I would go .670 and not look back.

Not out of the kicks's .680.  if your worried about thechoke strength you'll be fine.  i've shot a lot of hevi 5's, and 6's out of mine without a problem.
