Where Should I Hunt When Foggy
Right under the roost tree
I cancel my leave and go to work! From what I've seen, they'll stay on the roost until the fog lifts.
If they cant see well on the ground they will get up into the trees and wait it out.
It's a good day to not hunt but If you're going to I try and use its stealth to get right in under the birds.
If he has a field to fly down into, he will come off of the roost while it is still foggy and he can just see the ground. Looking down from above, they can see the ground through fog that looks dense to us looking horizontally.
One of the most memorable scenes that I have experienced is tracking the bird by his gobbles to a point right in front of me and then having him materialize from the fog in full strut. Awe inspiring!

One of the best gobbling days Ive witnessed was in fog thicker than pea soup. I have also seen it shut em up but once it lifts they gobble their heads off. I go either way.
Went out Tuesday morning with thick fog around a cow pasture and swamp head, heard one gobbling on the roost but he did not pitch down until the fog lifted a bit.
