Title: kicks 690 does it again...
Post by: Rockhound on March 15, 2013, 01:58:29 PM
My buggy shot some of the federal heavyweight #7 out of his Browning gold yesterday and out of 3 i only counted the WORST pattern and it put up 188 in a 10. These are smoking!

Why do the numbers seem so low? There are little 20 gauges that put up almost that many pellets. I'm not big into numbers, moreso a killing pattern but it just seems strange. Aren't they a 2oz load?

Note i said i counted the worst pattern, it was 50° as well, in better conditions ive seen my gun and my brothers put up 215-235. These are a 2 oz load and the 20 ga. Are a 1-1/2 oz load.

I have yet to see a 20 in person put up 190 and if it were mine i would swap chokes because that only leaves 50 pellets outside the 10

I've been thinking on a fed 7 choke for my brownings. My 12 averages 225+ with a high of 255. If I can get my 10's to do that or better I'd switch

I shot a many of 20 GA Hw 7's and all have put up more than 240 total. Think you mentioned 140 put side the 10"

Thank you for catching my mistake there should be around 330 pellets in the 20 ga load. I dunno where I got my figuring when I posted this. Should be around 440 in the 10 ga load
