I am using a SumToy .562-5 (the Fed HWT choke) in my 21" barrel and shooting Hevi 13 and Fed HWT both in 6's. I am hunting with the H-13 because they average about 15 more in the 10 and is a more even pattern.

I am running 120 with Fed HWT 6's and 135 with H-13 6's.

As long as the weather is right I'll be patterning mine this weekend. I have a Hastings .562 and will be trying the Fed HW #6 & 7 and HV-13 #7's. I will do my best to get my results on here ASAP.

Believe it or not mine did best with the Sumtoy 570...tried the 562,565 and the 570 and it was the best in my gun.

Can't go wrong with William and Sumtoy chokes....top notch folks!!

I would also like to add that the short 21" barrel also likes:

Indian Creek .555
Truglo SSX .550

I have the TruGlo SSX .550 and a Pure Gold .555.  What load do you recommend thru these chokes and the 21" barrel??  I'm leaning towards the Federal HW 7's.:OGturkeyhead:

I would shoot the SSX .550 and the Fed #7's.  That was the best combo that shot out of my daughter's 870 21" before we moved to TSS, but the Indian Creek put up better numbers in my gun.

I know Indian Creek says not to shoot the federal FCW out of their choke, but it put up good consistent numbers too.

Here are my gun numbers at 40 yards with 3" Fed HW #7s

IC .555 - 168 in 10"
SSX .550 - 141 in 10"

Here are the numbers with Hevi 3" #7's at 40

IC.555 - 135 in 10"
SSX .550 - 111 in 10"

Here is my Daughters Gun:  The Fed and Hevi were pretty close.  We chose the Fed cause it hits harder and there wasn't enough pellet differential.

Does your Indian Creek .555 have the wad catchers in it or not??

I use an IC .555 in mine with handloaded hevi 7's.  I have a couple boxes of 3" 1 1/4 oz 7's that I will be trying with the IC to compare to my loads.  With the kids gun they will be using a more open choke with a lighter load of hevi 7's, not sure which choke yet.
