Title: Nebraska advice please...
Post by: jbennett on March 07, 2013, 11:26:38 PM
I am taking a trip to hunt with an outfitter near Curtis, Nebraska this April and was hoping to get out there a few days early to do a little public land hunting. The problem is, I have no idea where the public land is. It's a 17hr drive from here to there and I want to make the very best of every minute I'm there. I've never hunted outside of MS so this whole experience will be a first for me. If any of you guys could point me towards a resource to aid with some hunting advice it would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to pm if needed. Thanks in advance.

Harry Strunk Lake/Medicine Creek SRA are very close to Curtis, 20 miles or so. It has alot of birds and is lightly hunted. There should be more info on the Neb web site.

We hunt Curtis quite a bit.  Shoot your NE birds with your outfitter - roll south to KS and add another state to your list.
