Finally got my record Ocellated back from the taxidermist. Decided on what I call a singing tip-toe-strut it shows off his spurs better then a full strut pose.
His measurements are:
Left 1 15/16" & 1 1/16"
Right 2" & 14/16"
The fifth spur which has yet to be recorded is 1/16".

The mount turned out great. Those are some wild looking birds. I wouldn't mind shooting one as long as I didn't have to touch his head. That looks contagious.

With all the non-native invasive species we have in FLorida like pythons and Iguanas , its to bad we dont have some of those down here - they would do well in Florida if let loose
