Hey guys a buddy of mine is looking to improve his pattern and has bought some of the Nitro economy loads copper 4's copper 5's and hevi 7's. He is wondering what choke would perform best with this loads.
Everyone has their favorites, but in my 28" INV+ BPS, an Indian Creek .665 BDS SS has been shooting lights-out. I wouldn't take twice the money I paid for that particular choke.
If your buddy can switch to hevi-13 2oz, #6, his BPS will shoot them well with Jellyhead .660 or Indian Creek BDS .675. I know mine does. Lead seems to be a problem to pattern for me, but Comp-N-Choke .670 shot Rem Premier Magnum 3"-2oz-#6 better than other lead loads. Got 92 hits in 10" at 40 yds with that load/choke.
Patterned 10 different load/choke combinations yesterday (followed by 2 rounds of skeet and some ibuprofen), so i could have better numbers after i count tonight.

An Indian Creek 665 or a Pure Gold 670 would probably be hard to beat.
I have a BPS with the 26" barrel, it's an Inv+ gun.
I've tried several choke/shell combos and the .643 SSX choke has worked best for me. It has patterned 3" Hevi-13 #6, 3" Old Federal #5 and #6 lead, and 3" Winchester 1 7/8 oz #5 lead loads really, really well. A .670 Pure Gold tempest choke did very well with the 3" Hevi-13 #6, 3" Old Federal #5 and #6 lead loads as well.
Hope this helps!
Mine likes the Inv+ Pure Gold .670 with Hevi-13's, but since your buddy is shooting Nitros, what does Nitro Ray suggest?
