Title: How to ship a gun
Post by: HoggleGobble on February 19, 2013, 03:49:25 PM
How did you ship your gun to Rob Roberts to get work done? Just put it in a box and mail it, or use a CFL deal to ship it? I just want to make sure I don't do anything illegal or lose my gun!!!

I would buy a cheap plastic case and put the gun in it. Then get a cardboard box that it will fit in. You will have to go to the UPS Hub in your area, to send it. The retail stores (UPS) will not ship it. It can be shipped directly to him, and he can ship it directly back to you. That's the way it works in Wi. Hope this helps.

On a side note. I would call Rob and make sure this is the way to go. He will know..

Never shipped one to Rob Roberts, but if you are shipping one that doesn't involve the actual sale of it then you just box it up and ship it to them. Make sure you get insurance just in case.

When I shipped a rifle to Remington for repairs they told me to take it appart and call it gun parts, this way UPS would ship it. This worked in Missouri.

Thanks Benellinut.
Did you get his chokes or did you buy an IC or Rhino? I'm stuck on if I want to do the patterning and choke or just do the forcing cone, porting, trigger work and slammer button?
