Sounds like it is worth a try.  Wish I could tell you for sure if it will work.

There seems to be 2 types of trail cameras.  1 with a view finder, i.e. more expensive and one's without.  Most all take SD cards now.  I generally just swap out the card and check on a laptop or computer.  But I do acknowledge that there are times that you need to know what is on the camera in order to evaluate for hunting or to move the camera.  Some do use the SD card option on an IPAD.  They also make dedicated Card Viewers.  I don't know that many trying to do it via iphone.

Its been explained to me I can take the SD card out of the trail cam and put it in a regular digital camera for viewing just won't be able to edit them.

I don't think you can view it with your iPhone. I've tried for a while to find a device to view SD cards on my iPhone. I had an iPad at one time that I could view pictures from a SD card. I had to purchase one of the apple iPad sd card reader. It never would work on my iPhone. I haven't tried in a while. Ill go try now and see.

Nope. Still says "accessory not supported by iPhone"  let me know if you find another way. I'd like to know as well.

I switch my cards out most of the time, if I want to look and see if I need to adjust the camera, if in the truck I use a laptop if on a atv I carry a point and shoot in my packback and can look at them on it just cant edit them on it

Cuddeback makes a viewer that accepts a SD card. It should work with any cam, because it is viewing the card, not the cam software. I've got one I'll sell you for cheap. If you are interested, PM me.
