Title: Louisiana wma's
Post by: Saltbayou on February 11, 2013, 05:54:49 PM
Any one have any information on Clear Creek and Peason Ridge wma's. I'm looking to make a couple of hunts at these two places but I've never been to either.

I know where both are and have worked around Clear Creek. It's full of birds. Thy have some healthy rattlers too. You can add Fort Polk in that mix. The biggest drawback to both Peason and Polk is that both are subject to being closed in certain areas by the Army. I would check Clear Creek out if I were you. Also check to see if you can find an area on Forest Service land in the area.
On a side note....Salt Bayou...as in right outside Slidell??

There is a place called Salt Bayou east of Slidell. There was/is a Salt Bayou Lounge and The White Kitchen.

Looks like my best choice will be Clear Creek. I'll start my scouting there. Salt bayou is world famous for the chicken drop.
