Why even waste brainpower contemplating Flextone calls?

Little custom hand work, mass production, machine made, mass marketing, and as expensive or more expensive than a lot of more local custom calls.

Why eat balogna when you can have steak for the same price?

Honestly I would go with a more quality call like a wood haven, legacy game calls, tom teasers etc. Same money, much better product. I highly recommend the tom teasers butt naked hen. Awesome awesome call.

I dont like the looks or sounds or any of their calls, deer or turkey. Wouldn't waste my hard earned money on it.

All flextone calls are crap! The package they come in is worth more than the stupid call.

With all this negative feedback on these calls, how do they sell any. never used one can't make any comment, sure not going to buy one.

Flextone is the perfect name cause you never know what sound your going to get not sure about the others but the diaphragms are garbage.

There are quite a few good mouth call makers on this forum. You can get some great calls for under $6 apiece.

I would like to know what they are paying Wadell, it has to be a lot for him to pimp their stuff.

I saw the commercial with their new calls where Waddell is talking about them. Who's he trying to convince, me or himself?

There is a guy somewhere in an office 6 stories up thinking about his guided turkey hunt coming up and just typing in basspro.com as fast as he can to order his new guaranteed to kill the boss gobbler flextone call. I'm guilty of buying a handful of over the counter calls in my early years of hunting however. Its all a big marketing scheme. If the company and invest X in marketing + Y in the product and = Z their profit, they will sell you anything. Once you go buy a custom handmade call you won't want to go back.  :z-guntootsmiley:

JUNK!

People buy them because of Michael Waddell putting his name on them!! I bet you he doesn't use them in real life and just uses on the editing portion of the videos!!

WOW !!  Rough crowd !!

I bought a Flextone pro-pack about this time last year.  It was on some deep clearance at Midway.  I thought "what the heck" ??  Bought a Quaker Boy 3-pack at the same time.

After running all the calls, the Flextone calls were definitely better than the QB's.  Ran the Flextone's last spring and a number of dead toms thought they sounded, at least, OK.

I don't get into (nor do I know) the politics of turkey calls and who I should or shouldn't like because he is on TV.  I just know that the 3 Flextone diaphragms I got on clearance weren't crap, junk or garbage.  They are sleeping in my fridge right now, waiting to be cut loose again.

I bought some flex tones before and thought they sounded great till I got some custom calls an truth be told I find the the custom easier to run and more durable. Which from other life exp a quality hand made product has always been better than a machined one. The only product I have ever found this to not be true is bench made knives amazing customer service and a quality product that I trust my life and the lives of the people I help. They are the only production knife I but other than grohmann.

Im not impressed with them at all. mouth calls are decent but there other calls arent very good. I would rather by a call built by someone who's as serious about turkey hunting as me.basically any custom call is gonna be better.
