Alright guys, the season's still a good ways off, and we need something to fill up the time and quench the thirst so to speak. So let's hear it, what's the best piece of turkey footage you have seen. Bonus point's if you can link to it somewhere in the interwebs!
Also, what is your favorite turkey hunting TV show? I've been watching Turkey Thugs lately. I give it an A-, would have scored better if they didn't call themselves "thugs" and if they didn't put so much filler in the show. Do you really have to spend 30 seconds introducing each of the staff every time they answer a question? All in all great footage, lots of shared knowledge, and they have a lot of fun.

I agree with Cash ! Them Holmes boys really know how to pile em up ! :icon_thumright:
My favorite videos are the one's that I've filmed. No where near the quality of what you see on TV, but they have a lot of sentimental value to me.

Home vids or the late 80's primos vids. This is my favorite hen video.

I agree 100%
I grew up watching the early Truth About Spring Turkey Hunting videos. Those guys were my heroes. I wish they would upload that footage online so it wouldn't disappear. Still in my eyes some of the best turkey hunting footage ever filmed.
I've filmed some hunts myself, but I'm still deep in the learning phase. I love seeing how other guys set up shots and how they incorporate b-roll and music. When editing and filming, the details are what make the video.
Timberland. There was some sweet footage in those videos for sure! Thanks for sharing.
I have some of the early truth videos when it was it will, coat, cuz and his wife, will walker, bob dixion, ect. Hunting them hardwood bottoms sitting against a tree. I love it!
Turkey_slayer---someone should tell that hen she will never call in a gobbler. She calls entirely too much and entirely too loud. :) ;) ;)
Hard to beat Ronnie and Chris. I personally would rather see a hunt as it happens. No music, no commercials, no fake stage scenes. I want it as it happens. That way I feel like i'm on the hunt as well.

Mr. Joe and his son Joey make a bunch of awesome videos and hopefully around the end of March we can tag team some long beard saggdaddys on film. I can't wait!

I agree with what you are saying brother as anyone who has videoed there own hunts knows, it is sometimes difficult to pack everything yourself and get it done. When it comes together though it is very rewarding. I just use a Sony Handycam but my footage is just for friends and family type viewing anyway.
Here is an Eastern Bow hunt..

Here was my 2nd Ocellated bowkill from the Yucatan, one of my most rewarding trips to date..

There is a youtube icon under my user ID that will take you to all that i have posted to date. I have a lot of others but have never shortened them up and did anything with them yet. :anim_25: to anyone doing the self filming as it is both challenging and self rewarding.... :icon_thumright:
Turkey thugs and King of Spring has grown on me
I like what I have seen from some of you on here. Some great footage!!!
Primos I through IV are still my favorite production videos.
My brother and I have videoed for years and been fortunate to have videoed some great hunts. Always fun to watch and relive those hunts. My brother has tinkered with editing some footage on some low budget computer software, but for the most part they remain on the original tapes. At some point I have some time I would like to get some decent software and edit some of the footage a little better.

Yes sir! Dave (Covehunter) Always has awesome videos! :you_rock: :you_rock: :you_rock: :you_rock: :you_rock:
any footage where the bird is standing right in front of you and say's OH Chit ! BANG
Any footage that doesn't rely on decoys or pop-up blinds. Which is also becoming more and more of a rarity.
I personally liked the older Preston Pittman videos! He filmed one hunt on a fish hatchery property not far from my home!

This:

I suppose it's my favorite because 1) it is my best Rio, 2) I filmed it alone, 3) It was my first kill on video, 4) as you can tell after the shot, I just about had a heart attack! ;D
A very close second is this:
http://s126.photobucket.com/albums/p85/UKturkeyhunter/?action=view¤t=OperationThankYou21.mp4
This is last year's Gooserbat Game Calls Operation Thank You! video. Tim Andrews of the U.S. Navy took this Oklahoma Eastern at the Stuart Ranch in Oklahoma.
Now, as far as "production" videos, I have an old VHS of one of Knight and Hale's Gobblin Fan Tales that I love. It is the first turkey video I ever bought when I was first getting into turkey hunting in the mid-late 90s.
